Ryan Summers was raised in Brookport and grew up attending BCOG. At the age of 9 he went forward to give his life to Christ, at an invitation given by his grand-father and then pastor of BCOG, Jerry Holt. He attended Massac County High School before beginning college at Shawnee Community College.
In 2004, he married his high school sweet heart, Emily. Immediately they began to serve in the church leading the church’s Sunday morning toddler class and then helping with the student ministry program.
After completing his Exhorters Studies through the Church of God, Pastor Ryan officially became the Student Pastor of our church where he served until September of 2019.
In 2020, Ryan and Emily launched a new ministry in the church as Family Discipleship Pastors where they focus on training families in biblical disciplines that help the entire family dynamic. They enjoy doing pre-marital counseling with engaged couples, encouraging young parents, and educating moms and dads in the best ways to disciple their children.
Ryan and Emily have one daughter (Rylee) and the three of them love vacationing together, eating out together, and anything that involves them and their dog, Amos.
